Maximizing Comfort: Understanding Our Sizing System for Clogs and Cork Sandals

Looking for the perfect pair of clogs or cork sandals that not only look amazing
but also feel like a dream upon your feet? The key to maximal comfort lies in
understanding and utilizing our sizing system. With so many different options
available, it can be overwhelming to know where to start - which is why we've
put together this comprehensive guide to help you navigate the world of
footwear sizing. So, sit back, relax, and get ready to step into comfort like never
before!

1. Understanding our clogs and cork sandals
The first thing that I'd like to highlight is how different clogs and cork sandals
are from each other. Our clogs are on a wooden foot base, which means they're
rigid and won't bend as you walk. For us Swedes who grew up wearing clogs
this is something we're quite used to! For some, they need time for their feet to
adjust to the wood.

In contrast, our cork sandals are on a soft footbed and bends as you walk.
They're soft and provide a different type of comfort for your feet along with the
suede footbed.

My best tips is once you've ordered your clogs or cork sandals, walk with them
indoors first. See how the leather softens up and how your feet likes the
different bases. Keep in mind that our clogs are designed to slip on your heel
when you walk, this is referred to as 'slipping' and is a traditional fit for clogs.

2. Finding the right size
Whether you've decided to invest in a pair of handmade clogs or cork sandals,
finding the right size might be tough. We always recommend measuring your
feet to get the right size, especially since our sizes differ between styles and
also from other brands.

Stand up straight on a flat surface with your heel against the wall. Put a piece of
blank paper taped to the floor below your foot and mark the longest part of your
foot on the paper. Repeat with the other foot as left and right sizes might differ.
Compare your measurements to the style's specific size guide located on each
product page. Please note that our sizes differ between sizes, so you might
have one size in our Tokyo and another size in our Brett. From personal
experience, I've had to go up a size from what I normally wear in our closed-
back clogs!

3. Heel height
"But you guys have so many heel heights, do they fit differently?"
YES! We have three different wooden bases and one base for our cork
sandals.
Our high-heel shoes have a more narrow fit than our low-heel clogs,
which can be a game changer for many.

Cork sandals: Recommended for regular/wide width feet or if you prefer a looser fit.

Low heel clogs: Recommended for regular width feet or if you prefer a looser fit.

High heel styles: Recommended for narrow feet or if you prefer a more snug fit.

different heel heights for wooden clogs: low heel, high heel and high rise

4. Leather and the break-in process
Our leathers differ from each other, each as beautiful as the other but with
different characteristics.

Nubuck leather is an oiled, snuffed suede but its texture is much smoother and
it has a slight knap. Like suede, the leather is made from top grain cowhide and
it is created through a sanding process that results in a velvety feel. The oiling
process is what gives the Nubuck its characteristic look and feel.

Our Vegetable Tanned leathers are processed using only natural, non-
chemical tanning methods, which utilizes tree bark, vegetables and fruits during
tanning. This type of leather is stiffer initially and has a shiny finish in
comparison to our Nubuck leather.

5. Personal preference
What I always tell customers and people I interact with is that it all comes down to preference. Some people don't mind if their heel is hanging of the edge of their Tokyo, whereas I personally like to have that extra space in the back of my heel in my Rome clogs. Our footwear and how they fit will differ between each and one of us, so pick the one that draws your attention and go for the fit you feel the most comfortable in!
